the Story of Upper Room

Upper Room Global Prayer Movement is a community of young people with a shared hunger for the presence of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. What started as the Upper Room European Prayer Conference has grown into an international gathering point for youth and young adults who desire to know God deeply and live for Him boldly.

Every year, we host a 3-day conference that brings people together from across Europe and beyond. These days are intentionally set apart for prayer, worship, biblical teaching, and genuine fellowship. It is a space where many encounter God in a personal way, receive fresh strength, and return home with renewed faith and deeper devotion to Jesus.

But Upper Room is not only a yearly event. Throughout the year, we continue to gather as the Holy Spirit leads through prayer meetings, worship nights, teaching sessions, outreach moments, and evangelism opportunities. Our heart is to support spiritual growth consistently, not just in a conference setting, and to help believers build a real prayer life that carries into everyday living.

Our vision is to cultivate atmospheres of deep prayer where hearts are drawn into the presence of the Most High God. We make room for worship and praise, the teaching of Scripture, spiritual equipping, and moments of ministration where God strengthens, heals, restores, and calls people deeper.

This vision was first deposited in the heart of Pastor Randolph Adjei and is carried forward through the service of the Upper Room Board, the support of ministers of God, volunteers, and a growing family of believers from many nations. We are committed to building a community where people are seen, strengthened, and challenged to grow, and where the fruit of prayer becomes visible in lives, churches, and cities.
