The Visuals Department serves the Upper Room Global Prayer Movement by creating
and delivering visual content that supports prayer, worship, and the communication of God’s heart to a global audience. The team is responsible for managing on-screen visuals during live gatherings, ensuring clarity, creativity, and spiritual alignment through lyrics, scriptures, media, and other visual elements that enhance the prayer environment.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Visuals Operator, you will serve behind the scenes to help facilitate prayer and worship by managing live visuals during Upper Room gatherings and events.
This role requires attentiveness, teamwork, and a heart to serve in a fast-paced, prayer-filled environment.

  • Operating visual software (e.g. ProPresenter, i.e. Resolume) during live prayer sets
    and services.
  • Displaying song lyrics, scriptures, prayer points, and media accurately and in real time.
  • Working closely with the Production and Worship teams to ensure seamless
    transitions.
  • Preparing and organising visual content ahead of scheduled prayer sets or events.
  • Maintaining excellence, consistency, and spiritual sensitivity while serving.
  • Being available for rehearsals, briefings, and assigned prayer gatherings as required.

Requirements

  • Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and the ability to find and display visual scenes that are
    aligned with what God is doing in the room.
  • Ability to remain focused and responsive in live environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation.
  • Availability to serve during scheduled Upper Room prayer gatherings and events.
  • Alignment with the vision and values of Upper Room Global Prayer Movement.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience using ProPresenter or similar presentation software.
  • Experience serving on a church or ministry production team.
  • Basic understanding of worship and prayer flow.
  • Creative eye for visual presentation and layout.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues under pressure.

Expected Process

  1. Written Application – Candidates will complete a written application.
  2. Written assessment – Candidates will complete a written assessment.
  3. Virtual Interview (1x) – A one to one online interview to discern calling, character,availability, and alignment with Upper Room’s mission and values.
  4. Prayerful Discernment & Reference Check (if applicable) – The leadership team prayerfully reviews applications and may contact a pastor or spiritual leader for reference.
  5. Acceptance & Onboarding – Accepted members complete orientation and training,including evangelism approach, follow-up strategy, and safeguarding guidelines.
