Role: Security Officer
The role of a security officer is to ensure order is maintained throughout the conference. Security officers will manage the crowd, ensuring that individuals are entering and leaving the auditorium in a safe and orderly manner.
Security officers will also ensure that banned items do not enter the conference area to ensure the health and safety of each individual, this included food and beverages.
Positions Available: 20
Role and Responsibilities
Security officers will be the first to arrive and last to leave the conference on each day. Officer's positions will be appointed each day, some will be responsible for crowd management in the queues, ensuring there is no pushing, and people have enough space around them to prevent fainting or vomiting.
Some officers will be responsible for ensuring that each individual entering and leaving the
conference is wearing the appropriate identification and wrist bands.
Some officers will be appointed to ensure the minister's entry and exit points are clear of any crowds.
Requirements
- Having patience to deal with different types of profiles.
- Having discernment.
- The willingness to learn.
- The ability to remain professional in different situation and dealing with sudden changes.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in security, ushering or protocol.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and positive in busy or fast-paced environments.
Expected Process
- Written Application – Candidates will complete a written application.
- Virtual Interview (1x) – A one to one online interview to discern calling, character,availability, and alignment with Upper Room’s mission and values.
- Prayerful Discernment & Reference Check (if applicable) – The leadership team prayerfully reviews applications and may contact a pastor or spiritual leader for reference.
- Acceptance & Onboarding – Accepted members complete orientation and training,including evangelism approach, follow-up strategy, and safeguarding guidelines.
