
Animation Team
Department: Production
Role: Animator, Editor, Illustrator
Animators will support the creative and production teams by creating engaging
visual animations that enhance storytelling and content delivery. This may include 2D and/or 3D animation work, motion graphics, and visual effects depending on project needs.
Team members should expect to collaborate closely with editors, illustrators, and creative leads. Scope of work may include both pre-event preparation and post-production deliverables.
Positions Available: the number of people selected is based on the team's capacity.
Role and Responsibilities
Editors will be responsible for assembling, refining, and delivering high-quality
video content. This includes cutting footage, syncing audio, applying basic effects,
and ensuring content aligns with creative direction. Editors may work alongside
animators and illustrators, and animation experience is considered a strong
advantage.
Requirements
- Experience in 2D and/or 3D animation.
- Familiarity with tools like: ProCreate, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, TV Paint, After Effects, Clip Studio Paint, Toon Boom Harmony,...
- Familiarity with software like: CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve,...
- General video editing experience.
- Experience drawing and sketching (digital or traditional).
Nice to Have
- Previous experience editing animated content.
- Understanding of pacing for social or digital media.
Expected Process
- Written Application – Candidates will complete a written application.
- Virtual Interview (1x) – A one to one online interview to discern calling, character,availability, and alignment with Upper Room’s mission and values.
- Prayerful Discernment & Reference Check (if applicable) – The leadership team prayerfully reviews applications and may contact a pastor or spiritual leader for reference.
- Acceptance & Onboarding – Accepted members complete orientation and training,including evangelism approach, follow-up strategy, and safeguarding guidelines.
